CAPTAIN ERIC NEWHOUSE

Since his late teens, Captain Eric Newhouse has cultured a passion for fishing on Cape Cod.  This passion has inspired him to open Bhookend Fishing Charters and to become more involved with all aspects of fishing, including commercial fishing from the Cape Cod shore.  

Captain Eric's first boat, a 16’ Aluminum Hulled boat with a Mercury 25hp motor, has been continually launched from Cape Cod beaches for years.

His involvement within the industry and with industry leaders, and his investments in tackle and the appropriate gear has steadily grown throughout his years at sea.   As his involvement and knowledge grew and his associations solidified, he began to first mate on charter vessels.  Soon after, his passion grew into a solid business vision...." but I needed to increase my equipment to meet the income potential".  Soon the funding was in place to upgrade to a 21’ Sea Ray with a single Mercury 200 motor and his dream of becoming a charter captain was at last an attainable goal.

In February of 2009, Captain Eric enrolled in a USCG accredited Captains’ License course.  Upon graduation, and receiving his Charter Captain’s License, Captain Eric christened the Bhookend One, a 23' Seacraft Center Console with twin 200 Mercury motors, with her first voyage in March, 2009. We are proud to start our 2012 season off with our new 25' SeaCraft! This Vessel offers so much more for our clients comfort.

Now, Captain Eric is proud to offer Cape Cod the unique experience that Bhookend Fishing Charters brings to beginners and experienced anglers.
